AVIATION FIELD TRIP | Calgary Schools

Field trips are a fantastic opportunity for students to help foster growth, catch their imagination, and introduce them to a future passion.

Taking the Students our of the classroom on a field trip not only it is an opportunity to be exposed to a different studying environment but also improve the interaction when they go back to classroom. Due to the nature of field trip and exposure to practical and real-life examples, it will improve the critical and reasoning thinking of the students. Field Trips do improve the connection to the community, especially when the location picked connects to something popular and common in the area where students live.

A land for flight enthusiast, plenty of flight schools, aviation clubs and fans, Air shows, hub for few airlines, Air Cadets, and museums. Calgary is lucky enough to have an interesting environment to fly around and therefor that has created a wonderful community that is eager to share our passion. From the schools, museums, and airports that all put on events that invite new people into the community and broader industry.

Here at Altitude Flight Simulation Centre, we offer a comprehensive field trip agenda that mixes between the educational, hands on, experimental and fun part, finished by the career discussion. An environment where kids get to interact with many different aspects of flight and aviation. Students will go from learning about how and why different aircraft are designed the way they are to designing and testing the aerodynamics of their own plane model. Our facility can also offer unique flight experience with our simulators, students are able to sit in a cockpit that is modeled closely after real aircraft. Then they can test how it flies in different environments. Our instructors range from prospective pilots to individuals who fly commercially for companies within Canada. With our experience we are sure we can spark an interest in your students.
