AVIATION FIELD TRIP

ARE YOU AFRAID OF FLYING? IF SO, YOU’RE NOT ALONE. MANY PEOPLE ARE AFRAID OF FLYING, AND IT CAN BE A VERY STRESSFUL AND ANXIETY-PROVOKING EXPERIENCE.

Why Field Trips Matter

FIELD TRIPS ARE A FANTASTIC OPPORTUNITY FOR STUDENTS TO FOSTER GROWTH, SPARK THEIR IMAGINATION, AND INTRODUCE THEM TO FUTURE PASSIONS.

Taking students out of the classroom provides more than just a change of environment—it creates meaningful learning experiences that improve classroom engagement when they return. Through practical, real-world exposure, students develop stronger critical thinking, problem-solving, and reasoning skills. Field trips also strengthen their connection to the local community, especially when they explore industries and attractions that are an important part of where they live.

In Alberta, aviation is one of those defining industries. Home to flight schools, aviation clubs, airshows, airline hubs, Air Cadets, and museums, Alberta offers an exciting environment for aspiring aviation enthusiasts. Calgary, in particular, has built a vibrant aviation community that is passionate about sharing its knowledge and inspiring the next generation.

Flight is a subject that naturally captures students’ attention when experienced firsthand. We believe aviation is most impactful when students can explore, interact, and participate—not simply learn about it in a classroom.

Hands-On Aviation Experience

At Altitude Flight Simulation Centre, students enjoy an interactive aviation experience through aircraft design activities, flight simulators, and guidance from experienced pilots. The program combines learning, fun, and career exploration to inspire the next generation of aviation enthusiasts.

The instructor was friendly, supportive, and very helpful throughout. He even allowed me to complete my landing despite going slightly over the scheduled time.

They have a Russian speaker guy, who guid my husband in his first flight as a pilot. That was really awesome, because pilots have specific vocabulary for their job.
Thanks
